Greg is a prominent figure in AI and high-performance computing. He is also a Co-founder of Lamini, which invented the world’s most powerful enterprise LLM fine-tuning system.
His career began at NVIDIA, where he was a CUDA architect as early as 2008.
Before this, he was the Head of Engineering at Landing AI and led the Silicon Valley AI Lab (SVAIL) at Baidu, deploying LLMs to over a billion users and managing a team of 125 engineers.
Over the past 15 years, he has worked at Intel and Sandia National Laboratories, where he made numerous contributions to building and scaling AI systems besides serving as an advisor at Celestial AI.
Greg’s contributions to AI scaling laws and Tensor Cores are widely recognized, with over 14,000 citations. He also co-founded MLPerf, the industry standard for ML performance, and developed ground-breaking projects, including Deep Speech, an end-to-end speech recognition system, and Deep Voice, a real-time neural text-to-speech system.
